Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Hybrid Battery Replacement
The 2011–2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid uses a 270V NiMH battery pack in a more traditional hybrid configuration. While less common in BC than Toyota hybrids, Sonata Hybrid batteries in this generation are now reaching typical replacement age. The Sonata's hybrid system shares calibration requirements with other Hyundai hybrid platforms but the NiMH chemistry means failure patterns are more similar to Toyota than to the newer Ioniq Li-Ion system.
